Water service could be disrupted today

CLEAR SPRING - Clear Spring residents who live on Mill Street and Brennan Drive could experience disruptions in their water service this morning because R.W. Excavating will be working on a water line.

The Clear Spring Town Council on Monday said water service in those areas should return to normal before noon.

Council will donate candy for party

CLEAR SPRING - The Clear Spring Town Council on Monday agreed to donate candy to the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Department's Halloween party.

Town Clerk Juanita K. Grimm said the party will be held Oct. 31 from about 7 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse.

Grimm said the town donated about $50 to buy candy for the party last year.

Cub Scouts can meet at Town Hall

CLEAR SPRING - The Cub Scouts will be able to continue holding their Thursday meetings at the Clear Spring Town Hall.


On Monday, the Clear Spring Town Council voted to let the Cub Scouts hold its meetings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the building every Thursday.

Town accepting bids for snow removal

CLEAR SPRING - The Town of Clear Spring will accept snow-removal bids until 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at Town Hall.

Mayor Paul D. Hose Jr. said the job requires the removal of snow from areas including Hawbaker Circle, the reservoir, the sewer plant and Brennan Drive.
