A man who is charged in the May kidnapping and rape of an 11-year-old girl at a Washington County apartment complex has been indicted on additional charges, including rape, burglary and theft.
James E. Hackey Jr., 39, of Hagerstown, was served with the indictment Friday at the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond, according to Greg Alton, an investigator with the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Alton said a grand jury issued the indictment Wednesday.
The Washington County State's Attorney's Office could not be reached Monday night for comment.
Hackey was charged with several counts of burglary, rape, sex offenses, sodomy, kidnapping, abduction, assault, unnatural and perverted sex act, and peeping tom in the May 10 kidnapping and rape of the 11-year-old girl, a press release from the sheriff's office said.
According to court documents, the suspect climbed through the girl's bedroom window at Oak Ridge Apartments and allegedly abducted her.
