MARTINSBURG, W.Va. ? A man was shot Sunday night in Martinsburg, and police were still looking for the shooter Monday.

The Martinsburg Police Department responded to 316 Centre St. about 7:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, police saw that several shots had been fired at the apartment building and found a blood trail leading to the front and rear door of one of the apartments.

Police said four shots hit the front of the apartment building, and one shot went through a window and hit an inside wall.

Police said they were later told that there was a gunshot victim at Martinsburg's City Hospital. That victim, Astley Brown, suffered a single gunshot wound to his leg, and was treated and released, police said.
