The seventh annual Harry and Florence Myers Younker reunion was held on Sunday, Sept. 9, at Camp Harding, Pecktonville.
Seventy family members and friends attended.
Welcoming remarks were given by Jason Malott, and special flowers were presented to Ruth Younker Malott and Edna Younker, the two surviving children of Harry and Florence Younker, who had 12 children in all. Flowers were also given to Mary Younker, widow of Ray Younker; and Mildred Younker Burkett, widow of Lloyd Younker.
It was decided to give a donation to the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, where a majority of the deceased family members are buried.
The blessing was given by Jeff Spielman, and a lunch buffet was enjoyed by all. Candy guessing games were won by Louise Weller Golden and Shelly McKee. Face painting was provided by Melinda Malott, and water balloons were enjoyed by the children. Another successful auction was held, with Skip Malott as auctioneer. Popular items were a genealogy book donated by Rosalie Younker Light and a wooden planter made by Jeff Spielman.
