CUMBERLAND, Md. - Scott Rice and Corey Taylor each ran for two touchdowns and quarterback Matt Smith had a hand in two other scores as Fort Hill rolled over No. 7 Jefferson 42-14 on Saturday.
Fort Hill rushed for 364 yards, led by 148 from Taylor and 89 from Rice. Smith ran for an 11-yard touchdown and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Weisenmiller.
The Sentinels (5-0) led 35-0 late in the third quarter and put the running clock into play before the Cougars got on the scoreboard. Dewey McDonald's 67-yard run set up a 5-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Hyler to McDonald. Hyler later threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Casey Johnson.
McDonald finished with 149 yards rushing, while Hyler completed 12 of 20 passes for 125 yards for the Cougars (2-5).
