National Alliance on Mental Illness

Parenting support

FREDERICK, Md. - "Parent Power" will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 3 through Nov. 14, at Families Plus!, 35 E. Church St.

Parent Power is a parent education and support program designed to teach parents how to care for their children and stay ahead of stress, anger triggers and isolation.

Parents will learn how to re-establish discipline, create multi-layered parenting strategies for difficult situations, manage anger and stress, create healthy boundaries and communicate with their children.

Registration is required and group size is limited.
