'Carol' auditions scheduled

Washington County Playhouse will hold auditions for "A Christmas Carol" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Washington County Playhouse, 44 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

All roles are open and include children, teenagers and adults. Showtimes are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday afternoons, and selected weekdays from Friday, Nov. 16, through Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Photo submissions sought

Area photographers are invited to submit black-and-white images for a juried photo show at Contemporary School of the Art & Gallery.


The show opens on Saturday, Nov. 17. Photos must be submitted by 3 p.m. Friday, Nov 16, at the gallery. All images must be framed. The submission fee is $25 per artist. No more than three photos will be accepted per artist.
