CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A 41-year-old Huntingdon County, Pa., woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when the truck she was driving on U.S. 30 in St. Thomas Township in Franklin County, Pa., crossed into the center lane and collided head-on with a Pontiac Grand Am, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Dayna Rose Germer of Three Springs, Pa., died in the crash, which occurred about a half mile east of Pa. 16, state police said.

Germer was driving a 2003 GMC east on U.S. 30 and Loretta Kay Painter, 44, of St. Thomas, was stopped in a center-turn lane waiting for traffic to clear, police said.

Germer's truck veered from the eastbound lane, over a yellow line and into the center lane, where it collided with Painter's car, police said.
