September 26, 2007

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - A 71-year-old man involved in a vehicle accident Tuesday morning died of natural causes before the crash, according to the Franklin County Coroner's Office.

Harry E. Scott, of 234 Landis Ave. in Waynesboro, Pa., was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck that sheared off a utility pole near 12616 Old Forge Road at 7:30 a.m., the coroner and Washington Township police said.

Scott suffered cardiac failure before the accident, Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner said.

The pickup went off the west side of the road, struck the pole and stopped on a fence south of Washington Township Boulevard, police said.
