'Eye of the Beholder'

September 25, 2007|By ERICA SYVERSON

A face, soft and glowing, like 40 watts.

Beautiful like a sunset.

Sometimes pierced, bruised, scarred, covered up.

A smile.

Set in stone, never fading.

A perfect smile.

A forced smile.

Parted lips and a kiss - longing to touch another pair.

A look at that form, worthy of a Boticelli painting, like torture - salting a wound, turning a knife.

Something strange stirs inside.

Isn't it beautiful?
