The Delauters

Eugene and Janice Delauter, of Hagerstown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on June 16, 2007, at their home.

They were married June 15, 1957, at Grossnickle Church of the Brethren in Myersville, Md., by the Rev. Basil Grossnickle.

They have two children, David E. Delauter and wife Kim of Greencastle, Pa., and Laurie A. Whipp and husband Brian of Myersville.

Mr. Delauter is semi-retired, working part time with Bidle Excavating in Myersville.

Mrs. Delauter is the former Janice Cashour of Braddock Heights, Md., and is retired from Frederick Gastroenterology Association.

The Delauters have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Clines

Walter L. and Betty L. Cline, of Hagerstown, were honored with a surprise 50th anniversary celebration at the Funkstown American Legion on Dec. 10, 2006. The event was hosted by their six children: daughter Terri and husband Gary Gable, daughter Kim Kline and Mike Cordell, daughter Patti and husband Charles Mills, son Jeff and wife Annissa Cline, son Douglas Cline, and son Tracy Cline. The celebration was also attended by their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.


Walt and Betty were married on Dec. 15, 1956, by the Rev. Dunnavance at Downsville Christian Church in Downsville. Mr. Cline retired from Mack Trucks of Hagerstown after 30 years of service. Mrs. Cline, formerly Betty L. Allen, retired from London Fog of Boonsboro.
