Maryland Symphony Orchestra MasterWorks I

8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14

The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown

Tickets cost $21 to $79 for adults; $11 to $40 for children ages 12 and younger, and full-time students.

The first segment in this season's MasterWorks series features guest pianist Yuja Wang performing Piano Concerto No. 1 by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky. Also featured will be Bedrich Smetana's "Bartered Bride" Overture and Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 7. A talk with Maryland Symphony Orchestra Music Director Elizabeth Schulze will be held one hour prior to the concert for ticket holders.

For tickets, call 301-797-4000 or go to the MSO box office at 30 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on concert Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. in the symphony office and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the theater box office.
