Township town meeting Wednesday

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Washington Township's town meeting has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the municipal offices at 13013 Welty Road.

Also, the township supervisors will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new skate park at Pine Hill Regional Recreation Area at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2.

'Serenade' is Sunday at 1912 Hoover House

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The first "Sunday Serenade" will be held at the 1912 Hoover House from 4 to 7 p.m. this Sunday.

The Main Street Waynesboro Inc. event will feature Rudy and the Bluefish on the restaurant's porch.

Downtown group walk is next Thursday

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Another downtown group walk led by the Walkers of Waynesboro has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27. Walkers should meet on Center Square.


Last month, the newly formed walking group hosted both members and nonmembers for a walk that spanned Pa. 16 from Clayton Avenue to Fairview Avenue.

Vendors needed for Market Day on Oct. 6

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Food and craft vendors have been asked to return for this year's Market Day on Main Street in Waynesboro.

The festivities have been scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, on Pa. 16

Scarecrow, musical entertainment and apple pie eating contests are on the list of activities organized by Main Street Waynesboro Inc.

Pumpkin luminaries will be on Center Square from 6 to 9 p.m.

CROP Walk and Fun Day on Oct. 7

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The annual CROP Walk will be held in conjunction with the Waynesboro YMCA's Fun Day activities on Sunday, Oct. 7

Events begin at 1 p.m. at the YMCA on East Main Street, with free food and sodas. Games and face painting will be featured until 4 p.m.

The walk registration begins at 1 p.m., with participants stepping off an hour later. Sponsorships fight poverty and hunger.
