Two students hurt when car and school bus collide

Two students were injured Monday afternoon when a school bus transporting students from Williamsport High School collided with a car on Hopewell Road, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

The car was driven by a 17-year-old boy in the southbound lane of Hopewell Road when it traveled into the northbound lane near the Interstate 70 overpass at about 3:49 p.m. and collided with Bus 86C, the Sheriff's Department said.

There were 12 students on the bus, two of whom were treated for minor injuries, police said.

The driver was taken to Washington County Hospital for treatment.
