WAYNESBORO, Pa. - "We'd just like to thank the township supervisors for the opportunity to finally have a home," Rick Rowe said to the Washington Township (Pa.) Supervisors on Monday.

Rowe, president of the Waynesboro Stallions youth football league, spoke to the supervisors shortly before they committed to an agreement that will give the Stallions use of the lower field at Pine Hill Regional Recreation Area.

The Stallions have been playing games at the Quincy (Pa.) Ox Roast grounds. The new agreement gives the Stallions five years on the Pine Hill field, providing they fund certain improvements.

"Kids are the backbone of the township," Supervisor C. Stewart McCleaf said, mentioning his grandson's involvement in the league.
