PREP VOLLEYBALL



Broadfording 3, Faith 0

Hannah Young had eight kills and Emily Ahalt had seven as Broadfording Christian Academy defeated visiting Faith Christian 25-12, 25-11, 25-8 in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference.

Emily Stransky had five kills and Danielle DuBois had four kills and 11 digs for the Lions (5-1, 4-1).

Heritage 3, New Life 0

Morgan McIntire had seven kills, three blocks and 11 service points to lead Heritage over New Life 25-17, 25-22, 25-16 in an MDCC match.

Callie Butts also had 11 service points for the Eagles (4-2).

Shalom 3, New Covenant 2

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Alexis Witman had 13 service points, five aces and four kills to lead the Flames (2-4) in an 18-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-12, 15-9 win.

Alyssa Rohrer had 22 digs and five kills, and Christina Hussack had 11 kills, six service points and four aces for Shalom.

No. 4 Boonsboro 4, Walkersville 2

BOONSBORO - Maggie Chaconas had two goals and Katie Reese had a goal and two assists to lead Boonsboro.

Lauren Hensley added a goal for the Warriors (3-1-1), while Kellie Reese had an assist and Annie Meyers had seven saves.

JV: Walkersville, 1-0.




BOYS SOCCER



Smithsburg 6, South Hagerstown 1

Josh Edwards scored two goals to lead Smithsburg over host South Hagerstown.

David Kurz, Tyler Craig, Adam Fay and James Reilley each had a goal, while Steve Kretzer, Andy Fowkes, Elet Hall and Jeremy Kiel each added an assist for the Leopards (3-1).

Erik Niku scored for the Rebels (0-4) on an assist from Ray J Kigembe, and Chip Rittenhouse had 14 saves.

Broadfording 3, Faith 2

Kyle Brown scored the game-winning goal to lift Broadfording over Faith in the MDCC.

Jordan Whitt and Andrew Park each had a goal for the Lions (3-2), while Gabe Hirsch and Brown each had an assist and Donnie Fritz had seven saves.

Ethan Price and Cory Williams each had a goal for the Faith (0-4).

Heritage 2, New Life 2

Steven Barthalow had a goal and an assist and Cody Butts had a goal for the Eagles (2-3-1, 1-3-1), who finished in tie with New Life after two overtimes.

Georgetown Day 5, St. James 2

WASHINGTON - Gino Rosignano and Hunter Lind each had a goal for the Saints (0-4).
