Chambersburg notches close win over CV, 1-0

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kevin Cramer scored on an assist by Jean Carlo Jimenez in the 53rd minute, and the Trojans packed it in on defense to hold off Cumberland Valley 1-0 in an evenly played Mid-Penn Commonwealth game.

Ethan Jednat made three saves for Chambersburg (3-3, 2-1).

Grace Academy 3, Goretti 1

Nick Bunting scored all three of the Grace Academy goals, including two in the second half to break a 1-1 tie. Kenny Frederickson had eight saves for Grace (6-0).

On a corner kick from Collin Lam, David Applebaum scored for Goretti (3-2-1). Nick Martin had five saves for the Gaels.

HANCOCK, Md. - Mickey Castle and Chelsea Stigile each scored a goal for Hancock in the Panthers' opener.

handra Yonker had 10 saves for the Panthers (0-0-1).

Karen Kim had a goal for St. James and Payton Berry had six saves for the Saints.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Erin Breen, Alisha Fincham and Alex Baker each scored a goal for Hedgesville.

Carissa Grove scored for the the Gaels (2-3-2).

SAINT JAMES - The Saints swept Hancock 25-14, 25-13, 25-15.

Callen Spicher had 10 service points, six aces and six kills for St. James (3-1), while Heather Lowery had six blocks and five kills, Morgan Gish had eight service points and 10 digs, Lindsey Gish had 10 service points and five kills and Alina Rossini had 13 assists and five kills.

Brandy Jenkins had five kills, Shawnda Wills had four kills and four service points and Erin Shives had four kills for Hancock (0-2).

Gabby Turano had 16 digs and Natalie Ferretti had nine assists as Goretti (0-4) lost to Musselman 25-6, 25-18, 25-12.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Brittany Ott had 19 assists and A'Leese Dickerson had 11 kills to lead McConnellsburg in a 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 sweep of Southern Fulton.

Michelle Baker had eight kills, five aces and Abby Cline had 12 digs for the Spartans (3-1).

Rebecca Schriever had 12 assists and eight service points while Krista Gordon had 15 service points and four aces for the Indians (3-2, 1-1).

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Sarah Harryman had 11 kills, 11 service points and two aces to lead James Buchanan in a 25-14, 25-21, 25-17 sweep of Scotland.
