Last week: The Falcons defeated Brunswick, 20-16 ... The Leopards defeated Northern Garrett, 27-0.

Notes: Two of Smithsburg's wins over Poolesville came in postseason contests in 1984 and 1988. ... Jonathan Gray ran for 135 yards and one score and QB Nick Loftus threw for one score for the Falcons. ... Bobby Smith got the Leopards off to a fast start in the opener against Northern Garrett with 214 yards on 24 carries.

Allegany Campers (1-0)at North Hagerstown Hubs (0-1)

Last meeting: 1988 - Allegany, 46-0.

Last week: The Campers defeated Southern Garrett, 52-12 ... The Hubs lost to Heritage, 26-20.

Notes: Once a long-standing rivalry, this series resumes with Allegany winning the last 12 meetings. ... In 32 games, North averaged 9 points per game and Allegany averaged 24. ... The Campers picked up 465 total yards against Southern. ... FB Jake Twigg ran for 119 yards and 2 TDs. ... Allegany had eight backs carry for 341 yards rushing. ... North's opener was a case of mistakes as the Hubs were penalized 17 times for 98 yards and committed four turnovers. ... North had 288 yards of total offense and allowed Heritage only 177.

Last week: The Rebels lost to Century, 35-20 ... The Indians defeated Grafton, 40-3.

Notes: The Rebels couldn't contain Century QB Luke Wright, who led the Knights to a 22-point second quarter. ... Eric Phillips had an 86-yard kickoff return for a TD and set up another score with a 39-yard run. ... The Rebels have started 0-2 the last two seasons. ... Cody Hess and Cody Reed continued to run wild for the Indians against Grafton. Hess had 135 yards and Reed had 163. ... Berkeley Springs is 3-0 for the first time since 1979 and a win would give them a 4-0 start for the first time since 1977. ... The Indians are first in the West Virginia Class AA computer playoff points system.

Boonsboro Warriors (0-1)at Southern Garrett Rams (0-1)

Last week: The Warriors lost to Moorefield, 14-13 ... The Rams lost to Allegany, 52-12.

Notes: Mistakes by the Warriors led to the opening-game loss to Moorefield. Two of four fumbles were lost on kickoffs and Boonsboro also had three touchdowns nullified by penalty. ... The Warriors had a chance to tie the game but missed a PAT. ... Southern Garrett fumbled on its opening possession against Allegany and it was all downhill from there. ... Tommie Reams ran for 89 yards and two scores. ... In 1994, Boonsboro beat the Rams in the first round of the 1A playoffs.

Northern Garrett Huskies (0-1)at Williamsport Wildcats (0-1)

Last week: The Huskies lost to Smithsburg, 27-0 ... The Wildcats lost to South Carroll, 26-6.

Notes: In a whitewash loss to Smithsburg, Northern's Blair Silbaugh ran for 113 yards and the defense recorded three turnovers. ... The Wildcats had only 43 yards rushing and four first downs, but still found themselves tied 6-6 early in the third quarter on a 70-yard TD pass from Adam Cook to Mike Russ.

Bishop Walsh Spartans (1-1)at Clear Spring Blazers (0-1)

Last week: The Spartans defeated Petersburg, 21-6 ... The Blazers lost to Baltimore Lutheran, 21-0.

Notes: Clear Spring has lost seven straight since its last win on Sept. 22, 2006. ... The Spartans feature a freshman in the backfield - Dylan D'Atri - who ran 22 times for 140 yards and two scores against Petersburg. ... The Spartans defense had two interceptions. ... Clear Spring lost its opener under new coach Craig Bathgate.

Last week: The Vikings lost to Bishop Walsh, 21-6 ... The Panthers defeated Rappahannock County, 14-7.

Notes: Hancock last won two games in succession in the 2005 season when it beat Bishop Walsh and Clear Spring. ... The Vikings' Cody Evans had 83 yards ruhsing and QB Braxton Runion scored. ... Hancock snapped a 14-game losing streak ... Josh Unger ran for 211 yards and a TD in the season-opening win. ... Joey True scored a TD.

Cedar Cliff Colts (0-2)at Chambersburg Trojans (0-2)
