Heritage Craft Center class

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Heritage Craft Center offers the following class:

Bead basics: An introduction to glass bead making (lampworking) - 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 18, 20, 25 and 27. Instructor is Tamra Trafford. Tamra's studio, directions when enrolled. $84, plus $45 materials fee.

Actors' Studio 2007 fall session

FREDERICK, Md. - Way Off Broadway's Actors' Studio will hold drama and musical theater classes for youths. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Drama for ages 7 to 12, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays. $225 per student.

Musical theater for ages 9 to 15, 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. $300 per student.

Wetlands workshop

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - For formal and nonformal educators. The POW! (Planning of Wetlands) workshop will be presented by Environmental Concern Inc. of St. Michaels, Md. During the creation of a wetlands habitat, students will learn lessons in science, math, engineering and social studies as they survey school grounds, calculate drainage area, create a water budget, design the wetland based on desired functions, choose appropriate vegetation, construct and plant the wetland, and monitor biological and chemical parameters of the finished habitat. Hosted by Renfrew Institute. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Renfrew Park and Museum visitors center, 1010 E. Main St. Free. Registration is required. Cheer/tumble class

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission will offer a cheer/tumbling class. Classes will be held Thursdays, Sept. 20 to Oct. 25.
