Two hurt in Wesel Boulevard accident

September 14, 2007|By ERIN JULIUS

Two patients were taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a two-car collision on Wesel Boulevard, a paramedic with the Volunteer Fire Company of Halfway said.

Neither patient appeared to be seriously injured, although they had been confined within the car after the accident, he said. When someone is confined within the car, they can move around but cannot get out, while entrapment means that a limb is pinned in and the person cannot move, he said.

The Hagerstown Fire Department and Community Rescue Service, Inc. also responded to the accident. The cars did not catch fire, according to the paramedic.
