It's a clean machine

September 11, 2007

The Funkstown Volunteer Fire Co. recently took delivery of a 2007 KME triple combination pumper. This engine will replace a 1987 engine that the company has relied on and operated for the past 20 years. The new engine has state-of-the-art safety features and equipment to provide better and more efficient fire protection for the residents of Washington County. The committee will begin this week to discuss equipment mounting and training with other operators and firefighters in anticipation of placing the engine in service by the end of next month.
