Man allegedly brandishes pair of scissors

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick man was charged Friday after allegedly brandishing a pair of scissors and threatening to stab an employee at Champion Billiards on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick, according to a Frederick County Sheriff's Office press release.

Edwin Perez Jr., 24, was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure and reckless endangerment, a Frederick County District Court Commissioner said.

Perez was found on Md. 85 near Shockley Drive, where he was arrested, police said.
