Conference to promote a sense of community among all women

MONT ALTO, Pa. - Registration is open for the 15th annual Cumberland Valley Women's Conference, Healthy Women for Today and Tomorrow, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Penn State Mont Alto. The event is co-hosted by Penn State Mont Alto, Shippensburg University and Wilson College.

The one-day conference is designed to promote a sense of community among all women of the Cumberland Valley and make women aware of wahsy they can improve the quality of their lives.

Admission to the conference costs $30 for adults and $10 for students and includes lunch. Registration deadline is Monday, Sept. 10. Tor egister, go to www.ma.psu.edu to download a form of pick one up at any sponsor location.

The conference offers 22 workshops from which to choose such as Keys to Protecting Your Identity, Women and Sleep, and How to Care for Those Aching Feet, plus health screenings. Dr. Marie Foster Gnage, president of West Virginia University at Parkers will give the keynote address.
