Youth flees from constable, is recaptured

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Authorities recaptured a youth Wednesday night after he escaped that morning from two constables at the Sideling Hill service station on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, according to a press release from Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg.

The constables were taking the juvenile from a facility in Chester County to the Cresson (Pa.) Secure Juvenile Facility about 7:40 a.m. when the escape occurred, police said. The boy was captured about 10 p.m., police said.
