Inmate back in custody today

August 31, 2007

A Washington County Detention Center inmate who failed to report to his work-release assignment Wednesday was found this morning in the area of Prospect and Church Streets, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies found Daniel Ray Kenter, 19, at a home in Hagerstown. After several hours of surveillance, Kenter left the home in a vehicle. Hagerstown City Police stopped the vehicle.

Kentner, 19, of 1317 Outer Drive in Hagerstown, was taken into custody without incident around 12:30 a.m., deputies said in a news release.

Kentner was on court-ordered home detention, Cpl. Chris Weaver of the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.
