Reconstruction at W. Wilson and Maryland to continue

August 31, 2007

Reconstruction of the storm drain system at the intersection of West Wilson Boulevard and Maryland Avenue will continue for four to five more weeks, according to a press release from the City of Hagerstown's engineering department.

The westbound portion of West Wilson Boulevard will be closed to all traffic between Spruce Street and Maryland Avenue until this afternoon, the engineering department said. Vehicles will be detoured northbound onto Spruce Street, westbound onto First Street, southbound onto Maryland Avenue and westbound onto Wilson Boulevard.

Parking will be restricted at the intersections to allow larger vehicles to turn onto Spruce Street and Wilson Boulevard, the engineering department said.

Maryland Avenue will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic, the engineering department said. Emergency vehicles will not be able to travel westbound on Wilson Boulevard between Spruce Street and Maryland Avenue.
