Woman in court on molestation charges

A 24-year-old Hagerstown woman is due to appear in court next week on charges that she molested a 7-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy she was baby-sitting in July.

In a preliminary hearing Tuesday, a Washington County District Court judge found probable cause that Ruby Renee Gaver, of 219 Alexander St., touched the boys inappropriately while they were staying at her home.

According to charging documents, the 7-year-old told an investigator that Gaver touched his "private parts" repeatedly during a bath and had done the same to his 3-year-old brother.

Gaver denied the allegations and said she never gave the 7-year-old a bath, according to the documents.

According to charging documents, Giancarlo Arevalo, of 17726 Perlite Way, admitted to police that he had consensual sex with a 13-year old girl in July. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
