Man who didn't show up for work sought by police

August 30, 2007

Police were looking Wednesday for a man who was reported missing from his court-ordered home detention, Cpl. Chris Weaver of the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

Daniel Ray Kentner, 19, failed to report to work Wednesday and was missing from the site of his home detention in the 1300 block of Outer Drive in Hagerstown.

He is a light-skinned black male who stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, Weaver said.

He was seen Wednesday in a 2007 Ford Focus belonging to an acquaintance, but the car was later found in the city without him in it.

Kentner is serving a six-month sentence for second-degree assault, Weaver said.

He encouraged people not to approach Kentner if they see him, but asked anyone with information to contact the Sheriff's Department at 240-313-2100.
