Tenpin bowler Tiffany Dillman, competing in the Thursday Adult/Junior League at Hagerstown's Dual Lanes, bowled her first 700 series last week.

Dillman tossed games of 221, 269 and 226 for a 716 set.

"I've been close before (698 set two years ago) and I finally got to 700," the 20-year-old Hagerstown resident said. "I wasn't thinking much about it."

Dillman has been bowling since she was 4 years old and currently competes in two leagues at Dual Lanes.

Although it was her high career set, Dillman tossed a 280 game two years ago and actually strung together 11 consecutive strikes in a No-Tap Tournament this year.

Dillman, who attended North Hagerstown High School and the Washington County Technical School, will receive $50 and a plaque from Dual Lanes and awards from the United States Bowling Congress for the set.
