August 26, 2007

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - First-inning RBI doubles by Marcos Cabral and Trevor Lawhorn gave Hagerstown the lead, and four pitchers combined to make it stand as the Suns won their third straight game, 3-1 over the Lakewood BlueClaws on Saturday.

Michael Martinez singled leading off the game and came in on Cabral's two-bagger. Lawhorn drove in Cabral.

Lawhorn added a second RBI double in the sixth, scoring Francisco Plasencia, who singled earlier in the inning.

Suns starter Chris Lugo worked 4 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and Lakewood's only run, walking two and striking out three.

Coby Mavroulis (2-1) got the win with 1 2/3 innings of relief. Aaron Jackson tossed two scoreless innings, striking out two, and Josh Wilkie earned his 10th save with a perfect ninth for Hagerstown.
