Two plead guilty in theft of 23 firearms



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Two West Virginia men pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to aiding and abetting theft of 23 firearms from a gun dealer in April, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Sharon L. Potter.

Charles Todd Caton, 20, of Inwood, W.Va., and Matthew Richard Pack, 21, of Hedgesville, W.Va., each face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, Potter said. Caton is free on bond, but Pack remains in custody, Potter said.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.




Man pleads guilty to cocaine charge



MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to distributing cocaine base, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Sharon L. Potter.

William O'Dell Mann, 24, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of $1 million, according to the release. He was charged with distributing the drug in Martinsburg on Aug. 10, 2006., Potter said.

The case was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force.
