Antrim Township lifts burn ban

August 23, 2007

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A ban on open burning has been lifted, thanks to more than 3 inches of rain in recent days, Antrim Township Manager Ben Thomas Jr. said.

Residents who do burn are asked to have the fire attended with a ready source for extinguishing the fire if necessary.

Recyclables such as plastics, newsprint and cardboard should be brought to the recycling center on Antrim Church Road on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or to Mountain View Reclamation on Letzburg Road on Saturdays from 7 to 11 a.m.
