My dearest companion, a fan of Sue Grafton's alphabet-titled mystery series that began with "A is for Alibi," said Dolce and Manea were exactly like a restaurant and its Eastern European chef-owner frequented by protagonist-detective Kinsey Millhone. "The chef recommends her dishes in her Eastern European accent, saying, 'This is very good. You should try.' Kinsey is never disappointed. Dolce seems to have been cut from the same cloth. Julia (Manea) seems to know what you want."
Visit Manea's kitchen, and let her take care of you. It's one of Hagerstown's unique dining experiences.
