Executive Entrepreneurship Seminar Series

The Technical Innovation Center (TIC) at Hagerstown Community College will offer a new series of seminars addressing the major issues that entrepreneurs face, from starting their businesses to handling the opportunities and challenges that come with growth.

All seminars will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in TIC Conference Room 208.

Seminar topics include:

·Tuesday, Sept. 11 - Entrepreneurship: An Overview of the Process.

·Tuesday, Sept. 25 - Organizing Your Customer Base.

·Tuesday, Oct. 9 - Keeping Your Business Focused.

·Tuesday, Oct. 23 - Dealing with Opportunities and Threats.

·Tuesday, Nov. 6 - Ways to Collaborative Entrepreneurship.

The deadline to register for a seminar is the Friday prior to its start date. The cost for each seminar is $5 and includes materials and refreshments. Participants may register for all five seminars by Sept. 7 for $20.

Edward Jones financial adviser Cort Meinelschmidt of Hagerstown will host an educational seminar, "Doing Your Homework: Educaton Savings Planning," on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. at Chuck E. Cheese.

The seminar is designed to provide participants with information to help them understand the value and importance of planning for the future costs of education for their children or grandchildren.

Among the areas to be covered by the seminar are the reality of educational costs, the basic financial choices available for education savings and the basic guidelines for financial aid.
