Boonsboro Pharmacy/Sharpsburg Pharmacy

BOONSBORO - Brian Hose has been named the 2007 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in Maryland.

The award was conferred on Hose at the recent meeting of the Maryland Pharmacists Association.

The award is presented annually to a pharmacist in each state for individual excellence and outstanding contributions in state pharmacy association activities, community affairs and in profesional practice. It is sponsored by Pharmacists Mutual Companies.

Hose, of Hagerstown, is employed at Boonsboro Pharmacy in Boonsboro and Sharpsburg Pharmacy in Sharpsburg.

He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2006 with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

Real Living Metro West Realty

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Sales agents Robert "Bob" Bridwell and Sue Landis have joined Real Living Metro West Realty in Martinsburg.

Landis is a recent graduate of Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and holds an associate in applied science degree in business administration. She and Bridwell obtained their West Virginia real estate licenses upon graduating from local real estate schools in the Martinsburg area.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Sales professional Angie Harris has joined the Waynesboro office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA.

Harris, of Waynesboro, was attending Jack Gaughen's five-week training program designed to give new agents a head start in the real estate business.

She attended the Institute of Real Estate Studies in Waynesboro and is licensed to list and sell real estate in Pennsylvania.

Jami S. Geary joined the Hagerstown office of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a certified reverse mortgage consultant.


WASHINGTON, D.C. - Denise Urban, of Greencastle, Pa., has joined NCB as assistant vice president and assistant loan review manager on the Risk Management Team.

Urban will focus on ensuring that the bank's lending practices conform to established risk-management policies.

She will manage the ongoing review of loans held in the commercial and real estate portfolios in preparation for annual examiner audits. She also will research and prepare credit quality reports as requested by NCB senior management and provide her expertise to addressing other day-to-day responsibilities of the credit management team.

She has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from St. Francis College, Loretto, Pa., and a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Heurich Photography

SMITHSBURG - Three prints created by Christian Heurich of Heurich Photography in Smithsburg recently were accepted into the general collection of the 116th International Exhibition of Professional Photography.

Heurich's work will be on display at the Tampa Convention Center Jan. 6-8, 2008, in Tampa, Fla. The exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention of more than 8,000 professional photographers and several photographic associations.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Sharon Gunder, with Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA, attended a two-day course in Alexandria, Va., on home staging. She earned the accredited staging professional (ASP) designation.

Gunder has been selling real estate for more than 15 years.

Broadmore Assisted Living

Chef John Snyder has joined the staff of Broadmore Assisted Living in Hagerstown.

He has completed requirements for the culinary program at The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Academy of Culinary Arts.
