St. Paul's Lutheran and Reformed churches, U.S. 40 east of Clear Spring, a peach festival will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m.

There will be food and beverages made with peaches as well as sandwiches, ice cream, soup and baked goods available.

Tim Moffitt will perform special music at the rain-or-shine event to benefit Vacation Bible School.

Cutting Edge Ministries, 32 East Ave., Hagerstown, the Young at Heart Ministries service for August, scheduled for this Sunday, has been canceled. The monthly services will resume Sunday, Sept. 16.

Wheaton Park, Outreach Ministries Summer in the Parks will hold a program this Sunday from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

Four Points Sheraton, Dual Highway, Hagerstown, the 135th annual session 2nd National Ketoctan Baptist Association will be meeting Aug. 24-26, with the theme, Standing in God's Glory.

Guest Preacher Angelia Rowe Garner will be speaking at 6:30 .m. on Friday, Aug. 24.


Saturday Aug. 25, the women's auxiliary prayer breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the worship begins at 1 p.m. Youth in ministry gets under way at 6:45 p.m.

Sunday Aug. 26, at 10 a.m. there will be ordination, worship, and communion services.

Broadfording Church of the Brethren Fellowship, 14010 Greencastle Pike, on Saturday, Aug. 25, the new community ministry building will be dedicated.

Soup, sandwiches and desserts will be available starting at 11 a.m. The Guilford Station Bluegrass Band will present a gospel concert from noon to 1 p.m.

For the fourth consecutive year, church quilters handstitched a quilt for the church's annual auction under the leadership of veteran quilter Dorothy Binkley.

The 85 by 65-inch quilt is stitched in an Arkansas Traveler design and is one of many items, including other handcrafted articles, which will be offered for sale. Auction bidding will begin at 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the church's building fund.

Construction of the community ministry center was completed this summer. The new facility includes classrooms, a kitchen, restrooms, and a large multipurpose area.

Grace Brethren Church, 315 Edwards Ave., Chambersburg, Pa., a spaghetti dinner will be held Saturday Aug. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m.

This dinner is for the benefit of the Awana Program on Wednesday evenings starting Sept. 12.

Rhodes Grove Meadows Conference Center, Chambersburg, Pa., the 55th annual camp meeting will be Aug. 25-Sept. 2. Nightly services begin at 7:30 except for weekends when they begin at 7:15.

Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, Hollow Road, Hancock, Erik Nelson will perform a one-man drama on the life of John Newton entitled But Now I See on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m.

A carry-in dinner will follow.

St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road, a special disability service will be held Sunday, Aug. 26, at 10:30 a.m.

Friends and relatives with a disability are encouraged to attend as the congregation strives to welcome all to its services.

Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, W.Va., a spiritual awareness fair will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center, Ram's Den.

The fair will showcase the diverse range of local spiritual and faith communities. This event provides an opportunity for students to become familiar with formal and informal opportunities to explore spirituality in the local community.
