From the principal

Q. What are your goals for the school year?

A. The primary goal for this school year is defined through Fountaindales' mission statement: "As a learning community, we believe in the power of the arts to provide quality learning experiences in which creativity, process, academics and diversity connect to foster student achievement." The goal is to ensure that all students reach their fullest potential.

Build positive relationships with students, their families and community stakeholders.

Q. What will help ensure a successful school year?

A. Clear, effective communication between school staff, parents and the community.

Continue professional development to help staff learn and grow in areas that will strengthen their teaching and will result in student learning.

Volunteer and take part in your child's education. Not only are you a valuable resource for them, you could also positively impact the life of another child.

We welcome you to come and be part of our school!

"Everybody can be greatâEUR¦because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve âEUR¦ You only need a heart full of grace. "A soul generated by love." ? Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Q. Can students and staff expect any changes this school year?

A. There are new staff members joining us this year, including a new media specialist, five new classroom teachers and myself.

Ramps are being installed in the hallways to assist our disabled friends when in the building.

Q. What message would you like to send as the school year begins?

A. It is a privilege to join the Fountaindale community. I am excited to be part of this wonderful staff and very much look forward to getting to know each and every one of our students, parents and community partners.
