Q. What are your goals for the school year?

A. Our goals for the 2007-08 school year include an academic school year that is both satisfying and rewarding for our students and parents. We continue to expand and further promote partnerships with Cascade school and the school community. We feel that parents are our partners in the important job of educating the children of this community.

Q. What will help ensure a successful school year?

A. To make sure we have a prosperous year, we ask that each member of the school and school community do his or her part in reaching higher standards. Students are challenged to attend school regularly, exercise Character Counts practices and strive to reach higher goals. Parents are invited to establish strong partnerships with our school by attending school programs, communicating success to their children and communicating regularly with school. We also encourage parents to join the Cascade PTA. And our staff is dedicated to creating a positive, inviting school environment, to setting high expectations for student learning and to continue professional learning opportunities that include best practices in education.

Q. Can students and staff expect any changes this school year?

A. We will have a few new faces for the 2007-08 school year. Students and parents are invited to our Open House scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m., to meet staff, learn more about our school and receive the upcoming school calendar of events. Also, our Back to School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 6:30 p.m., in our school cafetorium.

Q. What message would you like to send as the school year begins?

A. As the staff of Cascade celebrates the achievements of the past year, we begin the school year with renewed commitment to nurture life-long learning. Our experienced staff of teachers is dedicated to providing every child with the best educational opportunity possible. We are eager to start the school year and look forward to working with all stakeholders.
