From the principal

Q. What are your goals for the school year?

A. Our goals for the school year focus around our school's mission statement: We Prepare. We Engage. We Achieve.

Specifically, one of our schoolwide improvement goals will be to increase student engagement by differentiating instruction through technology.

In addition, parents can continue to expect improvements in communication through our home-school partnership.

Q. What will help ensure a successful school year?

A. Teamwork. Each of us plays a vital role for a child to reach beyond his or her potential. We should all focus on cultivating a love of learning that goes beyond the school experience.

Q. Can students and staff expect any changes this school year?

A. We will be taking "virtual" field trips to several countries through a PACK YOUR BAGS! schoolwide project.

This project will be an additional avenue in developing our schoolwide magnet signature theme of world languages and global communication.

Q. What message would you like to send as the school year begins?

A. My message to students is to come back with a positive attitude toward learning and a BIG first day smile!

My annual message to my parents is to continue to empower your child to be an independent thinker through positive praise and honest feedback. Let's join together for a terrific year!
