From the principal

Q. What are your goals for the school year?

A. My goal for the 2007-08 school year is to provide the best educational opportunities available for all of our students. We will continue our co-teaching model for reading and math. The staff will work to ensure that interventions are appropriate to enhance student learning. We will also have an after-school program, 21st Century, that will include a reading and math program and an enrichment component.

Q. What will help ensure a successful school year?

A. A successful school year can be achieved when all of the stakeholders ? parents, guardians, school staff and community members ? work together. Parental involvement is a key in ensuring a student's success. Please talk with your child every day about what they have learned, monitor their homework and sign the daily planner. We would like to invite you to become an active member of the PTA.

Q. Can students and staff expect any changes this school year?

A. We will have several new staff members at Lincolnshire, including a guidance counselor, two kindergarten teachers, a first-grade teacher and a third-grade teacher.

Q. What message would you like to send as the school year begins?

A. I would like to welcome new and returning students to Lincolnshire. The beginning of a new school year is always exciting and we invite you to visit and/or volunteer at our school. We will have our Open House/Meet the Teacher night on Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Please join us and learn about all of our programs.
