August 15, 2007

WILLIAMSPORT - The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is resurfacing a section of Md. 68 (Clear Spring Road) between Cedar Ridge Road and Bottom Road near Williamsport.

The $961,000 project includes patching, grinding and resurfacing more than three miles of Clear Spring Road.

Motorists will encounter single-lane closures Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Shoulder closures also might take place at any time.

Flaggers, arrow boards, advanced warning signs, traffic drums and cones will guide motorists through the work zones.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-fall, weather permitting.

The SHA awarded the project to Craig Paving of Hagerstown.

About 2,600 vehicles travel on Clear Spring Road near Williamsport each day, highway officials said.
