KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Kannapolis Intimidators scored three unearned runs off Hagerstown starter Bradley Meyers in the fourth inning and held on to beat the Suns 3-2 on Sunday.
A fielding error by Suns third baseman Trevor Lawhorn with the bases loaded and one out led to all three of Kannapolis' runs.
Hagerstown took a 1-0 lead in the third, as Trevor Lawhorn doubled and scored on a single by Michael Martinez.
The Suns cut their deficit to 3-2 in the fifth. Jonathan Castro singled, went to third on a single by Robert Jacobsen and scored on a sacrifice fly from Francisco Plasencia.
Martinez and Jacobsen each had two of Hagerstown's nine hits.
