The Cosners

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Norman Cosner Sr. of Maugansville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 7, 2007, at Izaak Walton Club in Martinsburg, W.Va., with family and friends. The party was a surprise; they shared old memories from those who wanted to speak, light refreshments, cake, and watched a DVD made by their oldest son, Junior. The DVD consisted of old family photos of Norman and Arlene when they were younger with family pictures up until the present. The party was hosted by their children and inlaws; Junior and Cindy Cosner of Williamsport, Bill Cosner of West Virginia, Debbie and Bryan Smith of Maugansville, and Terry and Lisa Browning of Hagerstown. They also had the help of grandchildren Artie and Kelly Cosner of Clear Spring, Tyler Smith of Maugansville, and Carissa and Aaron Browning of Hagerstown.

Norman and Alrene Cosner were married June 29, 1957, at Rouzerville Church of the Brethren by the Rev. John E. Rowland. Mr. Cosner is employed by Pennfield Feeds and Nevin's Furniture. Mrs. Cosner is a homemaker. The children and grandchildren's gift to their parents and grandparents was a first-class train ride on the Potomac Eagle in Romney, W.Va., in October.
