David L. Webb, 61

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mr. David L. "Louie" Webb, 61, of Martinsburg, W.Va., former longtime resident of Frederick, Md., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

He is survived by his devoted, caring and loving wife of 20 years, Linda (Fisher) Webb.

He was born on March 14, 1946, in Rockville, Md., son of Maggie L. (Frank) Webb of Thurmont, Md., and the late Arthur P. Webb Sr.

Mr. Webb was a sheet metal mechanic previously employed with Fort Detrick for many years.

He was a U.S. Marine and served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

He was a member of AMVETS Post 2 and Smith Mountain Rod and Gun Club.

Louie will be remembered as a very generous, caring person devoted to his family and grandchildren.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are one son, Shannon K. Webb and wife, Cheryl, of Smithsburg; one daughter, Jennifer A. Korrell and husband, Fleet, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Cody Korrell, McKayla Korrell and Rylie Webb; nine brothers and sisters, Paul Webb of Kearneysville, W.Va., Ella Lee Kiley and husband, Ron, of Germantown, Md., Bill Webb and wife, Ronnie, of Taneytown, Md., Ralph Webb and wife, Sandy, of Tucson, Ariz., Bonnie Schultz and husband, Mickey, of Union Bridge, Md., Debbie Kurz and husband, Steve, of Thurmont, Jane Wolfe and husband, Milton, of Thurmont, Jimmy Webb of Emmitsburg, Md., and Ruby Blickenstaff and husband, Jerry, of Thurmont.


Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Jerry A. Price officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Korrell, John Rubis, Wesley Wolfe, Andy Wolfe, John Blickenstaff, Adam Blickenstaff and Allen Webb.

Daphne A. Souders, 77

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Daphne Aleta Souders, 77, of Tollgate Ridge Road, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born June 20, 1930, in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Martin A. and Bessie Jane Myers Dyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill M. Souders, in 1991.

She retired in 1975 from the Park-n-Dine Restaurant in Hancock after 20 years as a waitress.

She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.

She was a member of AARP.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Shaw of Mercersburg, Dixie Chaupka of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Nancy Powell of Warfordsburg, Pa.; two sons, Foster Souders of Greencastle, Pa., and Robert Souders of Winchester, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita McGehee; one sister, Charlotte Souders; and one brother, John Dyer.

Services will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. George Lashley will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margaret V. Reddig, 84

WILLIAMSPORT - Margaret Vincent Morrow Reddig, 84, of Williamsport, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at Homewood at Williamsport.

Born July 15, 1923, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late William Hamilton and Rieka Edna Licklider Morrow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Reddig, in 1985.

She was a 1941 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

She had worked as a draftsman at Pangborn Corp.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown.

She was active in the USO during World War II and was the USO Queen of Washington County in 1943.

She is survived by two daughters Barbara M. Mumma and Robin A. Alvord, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Josephine D. Morrow of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Hamilton Morrow II.

Services will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown. The Rev. Darrell Layman will officiate. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
