Critical violations such as contaminated or spoiled food, improper temperatures of foods, improper cooking, or no running water must be corrected immediately. Those items are marked with *.
Other violations must be corrected within 30 days. Follow-up inspections will be conducted as needed.

The following food service establishments were inspected by the Washington County Health Department in June and found to have critical violations that needed to be corrected immediately:
Barefoot Bernie's/Cancun Cantina West, 901 Dual Highway, Hagerstown - *sandwich meat, tuna salad, chicken salad not kept cold enough (discarded); all vents, can opener, floors throughout, floor of walk-in and exhaust vents in women's restroom need to be cleaned; must replace light bulbs and light shields; cutting boards must be replaced; raw beef improperly stored; broken soap dispenser at hand sink must be repaired; insecticide and cleaners cannot be stored on same shelf as food in dry storage; food items cannot be stored on floor; food cannot be stored uncovered; excess ice must be removed from walk-in freezer; trash area must be cleaned; inadequate sanitizer level in dishwasher; inadequate water flow in restroom faucets; hand soap and paper towels must be provided at hand sinks; damaged floor tile must be replaced.
Bob Evans, 1721 Dual Highway, Hagerstown - *barbecue pork not being kept hot enough (reheated to 165 degrees); paint can must not be stored with food (corrected); vents in kitchen entrance must be cleaned; can opener must be cleaned; ice scoop cannot be stored on moldy surface; excess ice on compressor line of walk-in must be cleared; men's restroom vent must be cleaned.
Burhans Station, 301 S. Burhans Blvd., Hagerstown - *soup not kept hot enough (reheated to 190 degrees); food cannot be stored uncovered in freezer (corrected); employee drinks and yogurt cannot be stored in bar refrigerator (corrected); floors throughout, ceiling tiles, floors of walk-in and upstairs bar, cutting boards, air vent covers and cook line walls need to be cleaned; cracked hand sink must be repaired; ice buildup on floor around walk-in freezer; hot water faucet at bar must be repaired; soap needed at bar sink downstairs.
Food Lion, 761 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown - *wing dings and zings, potato wedges not kept hot enough (removed from sale); *meat at left end of deli reach-in refrigerator not cold enough (removed from sale); men's restroom in need of cleaning; women's restroom lights must be replaced.
Martin's Food Market, 1729 Dual Highway, Hagerstown - *ham salad not kept cold enough (discarded); lights and light shield in meat cooler must be replaced (corrected); vents in deli and bathrooms must be cleaned; bread dough must be protected from contamination (corrected); inadequate sanitizer level in three-compartment sink; inadequate water flow in faucets in bathrooms.
Potomac Fish and Game Club, 14241 Falling Waters Road, Williamsport - *walk-in refrigerator not keeping cold-enough temperature (corrected); ice scoop improperly stored (corrected); food storage case not cold enough (corrected); microwave must be commercial grade; floors under cooking equipment, food storage and cooking equipment, shelf under fryer, wall behind utensils and exhaust vent cover in dish room must be cleaned; inadequate air gap at sinks; bare wood shelves must be smooth and cleanable; holes in dish room and soda storage room must be repaired; chemical test strips must be provided; choking poster must be displayed; food storage freezer not cold enough.
Snax - Sharpsburg Pike Shell, 10524 Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown - *employee failed to wash hands before putting on gloves after going to the trash area; paper towels needed at hand sink (corrected); walk-in freezer and beverage unit not cold enough; three-compartment sink sanitizer procedure inadequate; chemical test strips must be provided; hand sink cannot be obstructed; must correct condensation in walk-in freezer; floors throughout, walls throughout, fryer, exhaust hood filters, ice machine, shelving, soda tips and ceilings must be cleaned; missing light cover must be replaced; inadequate water flow in women's restroom.
