Statton-Peachey

Philip and Betty Statton of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Statton of Hagerstown, to Elliott Victor Peachey of Harrisonburg, Va., son of Caleb and Bertha Peachey of Belleville, Pa.

Miss Statton is a 1994 graduate of Mercersburg Academy and received a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University in 1999. She received an eligibility license to teach language arts in the State of Virginia from Shenandoah University and will be beginning a new job with Shenandoah County Public Schools on Aug. 22.

Mr. Peachey graduated from Belleville Mennonite High School in 1985 and received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Hesston College, Hesston, Kan., in 1988. He is employed as a superintendent at Partners Excavating Company in Harrisonburg, Va.

Silvers-Smith

William "Bill" L. Smith and Sharron A. Armstrong Silvers announce their engagement.

Ms. Silvers of Hagerstown, is the daughter of Mabel Armstrong of Boonsboro and the late Robert S. Armstrong. Mr. Smith of Boonsboro, is the son of Gerald Jones of Boonsboro and the late Esther Ailene Jones.

Ms. Silvers is employed by Broadmore Assisted Living in Hagerstown.

Mr. Smith is employed by Frederick Memorial Healthcare System in Frederick, Md.

A December 2007 wedding is planned.




Lee-Belden

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee of Hagerstown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Renee Lee, to Jason Paul Belden, son of Kathy Belden and Tony Vrcic of Hagerstown.

Ms. Lee is a 2001 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and received a Bachelor of Science in marketing management from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 2005. She is employed by Wright-Gardner Insurance in Hagerstown.

Mr. Belden is a 1996 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, N.Y. He is employed as a branch manager with Thompson Gas in Purcellville, Va.

A June 21, 2008, wedding is planned.
