SMITHSBURG - William Louis Keller Sr., 77, of 12023 Keller Avenue, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007, at his home.

Born Sunday, May 11, 1930, in Samples Manor, Md., he was the son of the late James R. Keller and the late Ruth Anna Smith Keller.

He was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army serving over 20 years including tours in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. While serving in Korea, Mr. Keller, along with his unit, were able to cross the Yalu river into China. He then later retired from M.C.T.C. after 20 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge No 84 of Hagerstown, Md., Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion and the Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro, Pa.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Louise Keller; one daughter, Debra Lynn Doub of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one son, William Louis Keller Jr. of Smithsburg; a sister, Barbara Keller Shaw of Smithsburg; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., from the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Maryland with the Rev. Donald Haas officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7.

Interment will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Louise S. Rider, 86



MARCH 17, 1921-AUG. 1, 2007

Louise Stoner Rider, 86, of 1036 Benjamin Place, Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born Thursday, March 17, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Russell M. Stoner and the late Verna Giles Stoner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Rider, in 1996.

She was employed with Potomac Edison, retiring in 1983 after 21 years of service. She was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church, Potomac Edison Forerunners, A.A.R.P. and Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Giles of Hagerstown; son, David R. Rider and wife Elizabeth M. Hopkinson of Hagerstown; sister, Doris Jane Wood of Hagerstown; brother, Ret. Brigadier General Richard L. Stoner and wife Linda of Crossville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Kelly M. Giles of Baltimore and Lindsay A. Rider of Miami Beach, Fla.; two grandsons, Matthew T. Giles of Hagerstown and Benjamin D. Rider and wife Laura of Hagerstown; niece, Rebecca J. Wood of Hagerstown; two nephews, Michael D. Stoner of Chicago and Gregory L. Stoner of San Antonio; very special friends, Carolyn and David Motz of Hagerstown; Stacie Montgomery of Chambersburg, Pa. and Cristin Rydzcwski of Hagers-town.

Services will be held Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 10 a.m. from the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Chaplain Steve Taylor officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5.

Interment will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 North Potomac Street, or Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.




Louis Emil Perini, 64



JAN. 23, 1943-AUG. 3, 2007

WILLIAMSPORT - Louis Emil Perini, 64, of Williamsport, Md., passed away peacefully, Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in Hagerstown.

Born Saturday, Jan. 23, 1943, in Garnerville, N.Y., he was the son of the late Peter Perini and the late Julia Marchetti Perini.

He was a graduate of Haverstraw High School in Haverstraw, N.Y. He was employed as General Construction Superintendent with Perini Construction, retiring in 2002 after 32 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Margaret Ann Perini; one daughter, Danielle Nichole Perini of Elkridge, Md.; two sisters, Josephine Perini of Rochester, N.Y., and Frances Perini of California; two brothers, Angelo Perini of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Dominick Perini of Hagerstown; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 1:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, with Father George Limmer as celebrant.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Maryland from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5, with prayers being offered at 6 p.m.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, Maryland.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Kathryn McGinnis Kershner, 97, of Charles Town, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at Shenandoah Health Village Center in Charles Town.
