Richard E. Keyser Sr., 76, of Hagerstown, Md., died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Oct. 24, 1930 in Mercersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank Oscar and Elizabeth Saville Robinson Keyser.

He retired from Maryland Ribbon.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Christ Reformed Church.

He was a member of Funkstown American Legion Post 211.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L. "Lucy" Williams Keyser; two daughters, Terri Keyser of Smithsburg, Md., and Kay Keller of Hagerstown; two sons, Richard E. Keyser Jr. and wife, Diana, of Clear Spring, Md., and Randy Keller and wife, Linda, of Smithsburg; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Uglo and Helen Meredith; and one brother, Marshall Keyser.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Rebecca Hoover will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
