DENTON, Md. - Charles "Chuck" Robert Noren, D.D.S., of Denton died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He was 62 years old.

Born in Elmhurst, Ill., on Feb. 20, 1945, Dr. Noren was the son of Charles H. Noren and H. Virginia Kirkpatrick Noren, both of Hagerstown. He was a 1963 graduate of the Aurora High School in Aurora, Colo., a 1967 graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, and a 1970 graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In February of 1973, he started a dental practice in Greensboro, Md., with Dr. Gary Womer. They moved their practice to Denton in 1974.

Dr. Noren was a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Eastern Shore Dental Association. He was a past director of the Caroline Country Club. He was an avid fisherman and loved golf, cards and gardening. Most of all, he loved his family, his friends and Caroline County.

In addition to his parents, Dr. Noren is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherry F. Noren of Denton; two daughters, Tara N. Jackson and her husband Scott of Atlanta, Ga., and Nicole N. Hooten and her husband Robert of Baltimore; one sister, Kathryn N. Snee of Washington, Pa.; one grandchild, Ryan Jackson; one brother-in-law, Dr. Thomas Snee; and four nephews, Ryan, Brent, Jeffrey and Chad. He was predeceased by one brother, Stephen E. Noren, in 1999.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. before the service.

The interment will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations are sent to the American Cancer Society, 121 Sharp Road, Denton, MD 21629.
