MOUNT AIRY, Md. - Deloris L. Halterman Patterson, 73, of Pleasant View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of 204 W. Second St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, at the nursing home.

Born Oct. 19, 1933 in Winchester, Va., she was the daughter of the late Albert G. Halterman and Della P. See Byers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. "Jim" Patterson, in 2002. They were married June 28, 1954.

She received her G.E.D. from Waynesboro Area Senior High School.

She was a seamstress at Connie's Sportswear in Waynesboro, for 12 years.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fairview Ward in Waynesboro.

She was a member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 Ladies Auxiliary of Waynesboro.

She is survived by two brothers, Albert G. Halterman Jr. of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Melvin L. Halterman of Cascade, Md.; two stepsisters, Junia Warther of Emmitsburg, Md. and Nancy Paxton of Chambersburg, Pa.; one half brother, Percy Byers Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Percy Byers Sr.

Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fairview Ward in Waynesboro. Bishop Douglas M. Parks will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mont Alto, Pa.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
